Is it Monday?

Here are a few things I learnt this morning, in the space of about 15 minutes.

  • If your car is going to stand outside in the cold for an extended period without being driven and she’s more than 5 years old, start her at least every second day.
  • Shit happens when you’d least like shit to happen.
  • A ton of steel and plastic, doesn’t sound like much… unless you’re pushing it at 7 in the morning…
  • …uphill…
  • …and you haven’t had your morning cup o’ grog yet. (Like Superman with a Kryptonite cockring)
  • Now is the best time to invest in a set of jumper cables. Not next weekend, now!
  • Neighbours with jumper cables tend to shit at about the exact time you would need to borrow those jumper cables.
  • Touching the ends of the jumper cables while still attached to running vehicle car may render your morning cup ‘o grog redundant.

There is a good chance I’m having curry tonight, so in acknowledgement of tonight’s supper I created this comicstrip with the aid of stripcreator.com.

You all can thank Nats for opening up this new avenue upon which to unleash my unique brand of toilet humour.

Back in the saddle…

The view from the top floorHey peasants! It has been really long while since I posted anything here, almost 5 months. Fortunately there’ll be no excuses as I’m sure you know how things go between work and the time you fall asleep on the couch.

With that, I’ll let you know that I’ve left my employment at a prominent web hosting company to work for a prominent media company, which puts me back in the CBD doing web development. Though, leaving behind a great group of youngsters has it’s drawbacks, one sometimes has to take one’s career and possible future events (like getting old) into consideration. At this point I feel that I could be here a while as the opportunity to grow within this company is vast and this ever changing nature of online media is one that is constantly changing. There are interesting days ahead.

Just a big, huge thanks for the folks that turned out at my ‘lil drinks evening on the 29th of June, your presence certainly made my evening that much more enjoyable, though there will always be those that would sooner be playing Action Soccer. ;) Thanks again.

That’s it for now. Peace out.
